Thoughts on Fathers Day
written by: blevins

I never knew how to be a father, never thought I would need to know such a thing. I still can’t throw a football properly. I couldn’t diagnose a problem with an engine if my life depended on it. The only tool I knew for sure was a hammer. I don’t like guns or hunting. If I was thrown in a wrestling match, I was more likely to cry than fight. I was a girly girl, West Virginia style. I liked...

Batteries Not Included...

So, kids... here is a piece of advice for you all:
If you choose to throw a sex toy in your backpack at the tail-end of a packing spree before embarking on a weekend trip... it might be a good idea to make sure that you unpack it when you get home.
Or, at least before you take your backpack to class.
Why?
Well... I decided to take some notes on my computer during class this evening....

real women
written by: Nixy

So my thought today is why can't the world learn to love real women. Not real women as in women who are on reality tv! REAL WOMEN!
I'm talking about women who don't diet like the love of a man depends on it, women who are strong who have guts and who have the courage to withstand all the world shoves at them and still come out with love in their heart and hope in their souls. Women who...

Gather Round, Youngsters...
...and let Old Man Krud tell you how it used to be, before you were born.
Now, you might find this hard to imagine, but when I was your age? The only place you could watch shows was on a TV set. That's right, the big flat thing on your wall. Except these weren't on the wall, and they weren't flat, neither. They were big, boxy and heavy. They were practically furniture, and you could put...

If it's not yours, don't touch it.

I got some thought-provoking notes on the last entry where I touched upon my feelings on same-sex marriage, many of them private. I wanted to respond to one of them which was left by someone who, while there are things we don't see eye to eye about, I respect very much. It's also why I won't mention their name because they certainly don't deserve a ration of bullshit from anyone else about...

152. Okay then, we'll play it YOUR way!

Since this was a good entry I wrote that you all totally ignored, I'm re-writing it here. Pay attention.
So the whole world has gone mad. Gordon Brown remains Prime Minister, even though he is one of the hundreds (it seems) of MPs who have been conning the taxpayer. Now we find that the report released has been censored. Very censored. Most of the information has been...

Mostly, I've decided that I hate being single.

I'm sitting here, biting my lip, because I can't keep a ridiculous grin off my face. Why's that? Because I'm watching some VH1 hottie show, and they just showed Shania Twain and Denise Richards. Okay, that makes the grin more of a smirk, but whatever. Yeah. They are totally hot ladies, and really, I just can't help myself :)
Watching this, however, made me realize...

Chivalry is dead.
written by: SoICanEscape

I saw J3SSIKA's entry as the reader's choice on the front page, and I felt compelled to respond after reading it.
I am trying to think about where to begin. There are many thoughts that are crashing into each other in my mind currently. Let me see if I can make a valid, and intelligible response.
To put it plainly, chivalry is dead.
I was raised in a household with an preoccupied...
